Here’s a fun project that runs at “just the right speed for the grandkids!” Essentially an ESP8266 receiving commands from a touch-controlled web browser that drives two servo motors (so simple!) the components are outfitted inside a 3D-printed chassis resembling a giant lady bug. I designed “Lady Buggy” for my younger grandkids, as such it runs slow enough for them to control without colliding with walls, furniture, and me.
Control is via a touch enabled web browser. Dragging the red button around the web browser display controls “Lady Buggy”. Up is forward, down is reverse, left and right turn. Removing your finger from the display stops “Lady Buggy”.
Uses an Adafruit Feather Huzzah ESP8266 driving two continuous rotation servos for movement.
