…this week’s discontinuances from Intel, in a series of PDFs lodged on a document management server announcing the end of their Galileo (PDF), Joule (PDF), and Edison (PDF) lines. The documents in turn set out a timetable for each of the boards, for now they are still available but the last will have shipped by the end of 2017.
Hackaday is on a roll today, this is a big story (in addition to the article about the Arduino Foundation). I founded hackaday over 10 years ago, the logo is still the same, this was one of the goals for the site, to run down important stories like this, good to see it happening more and more. I no longer write or manage the site in any way, etc, but do like to read it
Ok, back to the Intel discontinuations of Joule, Galileo, and Edison product lines. This in addition to the news that the Intel Wearables group had layoffs in late 2016 signals “something.”
